This collection is a summation of a summer spent around pools. In the northern California central valley, summer temperatures commonly soar above 100 degrees. This leads to a lifestyle of seeking cooler temperatures. For some that’s indoors enjoying air conditioning. Others its confronting the heat, working in it, and embracing it. For my family and friends during our time off, it’s about getting wet when we can, enjoying the pool vibes, and hopping from one house to the next. Each day brings different pools, different landscapes, and different energy. This project embraces this exploration highlighting common components of pool life in a minimalistic lyrical documentary aesthetic.
